An environmental group has released an interactive maps of  gas pipelines in the U.S.

The Sierra Club’s map shows every pipeline throughout the United States, including lines being constructed or planned.

Kelly Martin is the Director of the Sierra Club Beyond Dirty Fuels Campaign.

“There’s three pipelines that are on the map in Michigan, and one of them isn't yet build. So I think it’s an opportunity for folks in Michigan to learn more about the proposed NEXUS pipeline.”

The map also shows nearby schools, nursing homes and hospitals.

“Right now we’re looking at an unprecedented build out of these pipelines, and really we don't even the gas. So when these are constructed, it will be consumers that end up footing the bill,” said Martin.

You can view the map here, and search by zip code or pipeline name.
