Ferris State University has launched its largest ever fundraising campaign. The campaign aims to invest in infrastructure and will proved millions of dollars in new scholarships for students.

With the “Now and Always” campaign,  Ferris plans to raise $80-million from alumni, staff, and other community stakeholders.

David Eisler is the President of FSU. He said the “Now and Always” campaign has three main functions.

“The first is investing in our students or student scholarships. The second is for program expansion and innovation. The third is for the community partnerships that we have throughout the region”.

Eisler said the university will put nearly half the money, $36-million into an endowment fund for scholarships.

“We’ve never had anything like this at Ferris. When you think about $36-million that will generate $1.44-million in scholarships every single year. So, think about the number of students that can be helped with that kind of funding”.

Eisler said the university will invest the remaining $44-million into things like the optometry school, and building a new criminal justice training center.
