The City of Wyoming has adopted a master plan outlining growth and investment for the next two decades.

The Wyoming [re]Imagined Master Plan was approved by its City Council on March 1st. After months of community input, the [re]Imagined Master Plan is a framework for investment, reinvestment and growth.

In particular, reinvesting in existing neighborhoods while seeking new housing developments offering more affordability. The plan also identifies the need for updating aging commercial corridors. The plan recommends, “Policies to help revitalize commercial districts while growing industrial and medical sectors.”

There’s also a push for leveraging the city’s parks system and making them more accessible.

Areas identified for investment and development over the next 15-25 years are sections of 28th Street SW, Wilson Avenue SW, Burton Street SW, Division Avenue SW and the Kelvinator industrial site near Clyde Park Avenue SW and Grandville Avenue SW.
