A 26 million dollar expansion of a plastics company in Beaverton, Michigan is expected to bring at least 60 new jobs to the region.
The expansion broke ground Monday.
Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics is already the largest employer in the area, primarily producing silicone components for drug companies.
Stephen Maddox is with the company.
“So we’ve committed to the relevant authorities to add sixty jobs over the next three years. I think that’s conservative if the markets grow double digits like we anticipate then we should grow far more than just the sixty.”
Maddox said the company is tripling it’s office space in anticipation of a growing marketplace.
The expansion is slated to be complete in December of 2019.
