The Midland Mall may take on a new look. It's now under new ownership.
The mall was purchased for just over nine million dollars last month by Kohan Retail Investment Group.
The new owners have a number of ideas for the mall, including a gym, movie theater, and residential apartments.
Brad Kaye is the Midland City Manager.
“We’ve been working from a master plan and a planning perspective really to identify some new policies that might allow for more diversification of uses that take place at the mall or the mall area at least.”
Kaye said the investment group owns a number of malls across the country, including the Fashion Square Mall in Saginaw.
The previous owners of the Midland mall lost it nearly two years ago to foreclosure
