The evening begins with Midland Symphony Orchestra Principal Horn Kurt Civilette performing Glière’s stunning Horn Concerto, setting the stage for an unforgettable night of exploration and discovery.

In celebration of America's 250th birthday, the Midland Symphony Orchestra honors the music of America's founding era surrounding the Declaration of Independence. This thoughtfully curated program explores connections between the Founding Fathers and European composers of the time, including Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges. Pianist Amiri Harewood joins the orchestra for a performance that bridges history and artistry in a stirring tribute to independence.
