A new inititative aims to create new housing opportunties in  Michigan. 

The Housing Michigan coalition introduced an initiative to provide tools for homeowners... like allowing more residents to qualify for affordable housing and offering more tax incentives. 

A state House committee will discuss concerns from the Department of Treasury... They include the effects of housing on property taxes, which in turn impacts funding for schools.
