Jill Biden in Grand Rapids

Jill Biden, the wife of Democratic Presidential candidate Joe Biden was campaigning for her husband in Michigan on Tuesday.

Biden toured a food pantry in Grand Rapids and met with military family members in Battle Creek.

“Supporting this community is not just the right thing to do...IT'S a national security imperative,” Biden said.

During her stop, she used the opportunity to criticize the Trump administration for not fully funding the Michigan National Guard during its COVID-19 deployment, leaving the state to pick up 25 percent of the cost.

Biden promised her husband would support military families struggling with deployments, health care and COVID-19.
