Flint’s police chief is urging city residents to stop the violence, after a triple homicide over the weekend pushed the number of murders in Flint this year to 34.
Police have suspects in custody.
Police Chief Tim Johnson wants to discourage Flint residents from using guns to end disputes.
“It’s not only the people you’re hurting. You’re hunting everybody. You’re hurting everybody in the community along with the lives that you took. So this has got to stop.”
It was also a violent weekend in Grand Rapids, where four separate shootings were reported.
Two people died there.
Grand Rapids police are still looking for leads in those deaths.
