Democrats kick off their second round of presidential debates Tuesday in Detroit.

The future of several candidates’ campaigns could hinge on their performance.

Tonight’s debate is the first featuring a head-to-head match-up between Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders – standard-bearers for the Democrats’ progressive wing…who must differentiate themselves from each other while showing they hold positions that can also attract more moderate voters.

Tomorrow night’s debate includes a re-match of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris…who made points in the first debate by blasting Biden for his position on busing…along with Cory Booker…who says Biden’s support for a past crime bill made him an architect of mass incarceration.

Biden says he – quote— “won’t be as polite” this time.

Other candidates need to make a splash simply to ensure they qualify for future debates.  SOC
