Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed six new executive directives Thursday.

The directives do things like ban the use of private emails for state business and prohibit state employees from doing campaign business on public time.

Whitmer says these new rules will help ensure state government is open and transparent.

This comes the day after Whitmer signed her first executive directive – it requires all state employees report imminent threats to public health and welfare.
