The United States Supreme Court is being asked to review a civil lawsuit filed in connection to the Flint Water Crisis.

In January, a federal appeals court ruled a lawsuit against the City of Flint… Department of Environmental Quality employees and former Flint emergency managers could move forward.

The judges agreed with the plaintiffs that the Flint Water Crisis was predictable and preventable.

But this month, defense attorneys filed paperwork with the U-S Supreme Court challenging the appeals court ruling allowing the lawsuit to move forward.   They are challenging the lower court’s decision citing due process and immunity issues.

Flint residents were exposed to elevated levels of lead in their tap water after the city’s drinking water source was switch in 20-14.  Many city residents continue to complain of health problems related to switch.
