CD cover for Raft by Northwoods Improvisers
Entropy Stereo

New music is out from Michigan’s Northwoods Improvisers. The new CD, “Raft” is their first since the death in 2012 of longtime saxophonist Faruq Z. Bey.  The group now has two saxophonists, Dominic Bierenga and Donovan Boxey, both graduates from Central Michigan University’s School of Music. David Nicholas spoke with them and bassist and founding member Mike Johnston, WCMU’s host for Destination Out about the evolution of the band and the new release.

The CD is on the Entropy Stereo label.  More information is at https://www.northwoodsimprovisers.com/ and http://www.entropystereo.com/
