Midland Center choirs honor women from civil rights

Midland Center for the Arts will present a film and panel discussion on the life of civil rights activist Grace Lee Boggs.  The Midland Center Chorale and Bella Voce Choir will present a commissioned work from composer Joel Thompson about three civil rights figures from Detroit, including Boggs, Saturday November 9.  Katie Miller and Matt Travis joined David Nicholas on Mosaic for a preview.

Doors open at 6:30 with the film/panel discussion at 7 PM Wednesday November 6.  The concert is at 7:30 PM Saturday November 9.  Information about both events is at www.midlandcenter.org
