This week on "Destination Out", we featured the music of Ornette Coleman played by other artists that were influenced by his music in the early 60's, including some of the first pioneers that played his compositions; John Coltrane, Modern Jazz Quartet, Art pepper, Bill Dixon, Archie Shepp and Marzette Watts.

Mike Johnston is the host of 'Destination Out,' which airs each Sunday evening at 11pm. Mike also teaches music history courses at Delta College and Mid Michigan Community College.
