Dr. Fangye Sun, Assistant Professor of Violin

The 2018 season of Central Stage continues Thursday at 2:00 pm on WCMU.  It’s our series of performances by faculty artists and student ensembles from Central Michigan University’s SCHOOL of MUSIC.  Dr. Sue Gamble, professor emerita of Music Education is host.  

This week, Tchaikovsky’s Trio for Piano, Violin and Cello in A minor, his only piano trio and a moving tribute to the composer’s friend Nicolai Rubinstein.  The performance features violinist, Fangye Sun, pianist, Casey Robards and cellist, Daniel Tressel.

Sue Gamble, Professor Emerita of music education, taught at Central Michigan University from 1978 to 2016. She also served as chair of the department of music, 1983-1990. She previously taught general music and choral music in grades 7-12 in central Pennsylvania.
