Destination Out tooks a close look at 4 obscure pianists that came out of the late 40's Be-bop era. German born Utta Hipp, Valdo Williams, hassan Ibn Ali and Richard Twardzik. Each pianist recorded output was extremely limited. Also featured are a few tracks from different eras and bands of legendary Detroit saxophonist Yusef lateef.

Mike Johnston is the host of 'Destination Out,' which airs each Sunday evening at 11pm. Mike also teaches music history courses at Delta College and Mid Michigan Community College.
