After months of bargaining, registered nurses at Mclaren Lapeer Regional Hospital have reached a tentative contract agreement.

The 250 registered nurses went on strike after voicing concerns over patient safety, wages and benefits.

Officials from the Michigan Nurses Association bargaining unit say the agreement achieves members’ goals for staffing the hospital safely and providing compensation that will recruit and retain nurses in the community.

A final vote on the contract is scheduled for later this week and results will be released on Friday.
