Juice Jacking is a way of using public charging stations to get into someone’s phone and steal their personal data.
That can happen through either an infected charging cable or skimming devices hidden inside a USB charging port.
The Attorney General’s office is suggesting people avoid public charging stations and carry their own power cables and adapters instead.
It also recommends being wary of any phone prompts to “share data” when plugging into a USB port.
