The lawsuit dealt with the legality of millions of dollars given by a private foundation to hundreds of local clerks in Michigan to help them prepare for the 2020 election.

The money came from social media billionaire Mark Zuckerberg.

In the lawsuit Republican voters claimed the donations were in fact a ‘Get Out The Vote” effort for Democrat Joe Biden.

Last year a Court of Claims judge dismissed the suit. And this month the Michigan Court of Appeals affirmed that ruling.

No word yet as to whether the plaintiffs plan to appeal.

A ballot proposal approved by Michigan voters last year expressly allows clerks to accept charitable donations to conduct elections.
