This week a circuit court judge may release her decision on motions to dismiss criminal charges in the Flint water crisis investigation.

Defense attorneys argue the criminal charges should be dropped since the Michigan Supreme Court found the one man grand jury used to issue indictments was used incorrectly.

The charges against more than a half dozen former government officials include felony counts of involuntary manslaughter.

Prosecutors have asked the judge to keep the charges in place and move the cases to district court.
