Showers and thunderstorms are expected this afternoon into the evening throughout Michigan.
"Main concerns with these storms are going to be some strong wind gusts, perhaps some damaging wind gusts up to you know, maybe, you know, 50 to 60 miles an hour. The other concern is going to be some heavy rain. So localized flooding will be possible as well." said Andrea Thielke. Andrea is a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Grand Rapids. She says severe weather will move east along the I-96 corridor.
Thielke says sunny skies will return tomorrow and stick around for the rest of the week and into the weekend with highs in the lower eighties.
