Democratic state Representative Mary Cavanagh appeared in court Wednesday morning for pre-trial proceedings relating to a drunk driving charge.

Cavanagh was arraigned last month in Livonia’s 16th district court for a charge of operating while intoxicated stemming from a February 25th arrest.

She’s due back in court on April 21st.

According to multiple news outlets, the police report lists Cavanagh as driving along Interstate-96 with two flat tires.

The report says she was swerving outside of her lane and police pulled her over as she was exiting the freeway.

The report says Cavanagh underwent field sobriety and breathalyzer tests, but her results are unclear.

Her lawyer did not respond to requests for comment in time for this story.
