The University of Michigan says it's reached a settlement with more than 1-thousand survivors of the late sports doctor Robert Anderson, the University will pay $490-million dollars to settle decades worth of sexual assault claims.
Hundreds of players and students who've come forward say Anderson would sexually abuse them during sports physicals or other medical appointments. Several say they reported it to higher ups as far back as the 60's.
The settlement would divide the 490 million among some one-thousand-and-fifty SURVIVORS, two years after allegations against Anderson broke publicly.
30 million of that would be set aside for future victims who may come forward.
Anderson worked at the U of M from 1968 through 2003, including as an athletic doctor AND as director of the Unviersity Health Service.
He died in 2008.
