The Michigan State Police is investigating allegations of domestic violence against State Representative Steve Marino.
Marino is alleged to have made threats against another state lawmaker, Representative Mari Manoogian.
Neither the State Police nor the House Leadership would provide details on the allegations.
Marino is a Republican from Macomb County. Manoogian is a Democrat from Birmingham.
Manoogian released a statement asking for privacy as she takes steps to ensure her safety.
