Severe weather will be possible over much of Michigan Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
According to the National Weather Service in Grand Rapids, strong to severe storms will develop Wednesday evening, and impact the state through Thursday morning. Damaging winds, flooding and large hail will be possible, along with isolated tornados.
The greatest threat of severe weather is expected to be south of a line from Grand Traverse Bay to Saginaw Bay, according to the National Weather Service office in Gaylord. The office says a humid and moist air mass will allow for heavy rainfall, with some storms developing and tracking over the same location, causing localized flooding.
The National Weather Service reminds motorists to not drive through flood waters, and to stay aware of the weather situation this evening and tonight.
