Detroit Police have fatally shot and killed a man on the City’s east side.

Chief James Craig says officers were investigating a quintuple shooting and a fatal crash they believe is connected to that shooting, when a man rolled up and open fire.

“A 27 year old driving a 2019 Yukon drove up in fire one single shot at an officer. That round did strike the side of a police vehicle as he was leaving the crime saying he struck to park police vehicles”

Craig claims a high-speed chase and gun battle ensued, with the driver being shot multiple times by officers. He was pronounced dead at an area hospital.
