Three Kalamazoo volunteers helping get out the Democratic vote in today's (Tuesday's) US Senate races in Georgia say they're excited about the work.
Troy Zukowski-Serlin says he hopes the two Democrats will win, giving the party effective control of the Senate. If they don't, he says Republicans may try block many of President-elect Joe Biden's initiatives:
"By creating a tie for the next couple of years, I think this frees up a lot of Republicans, especially, to start working with Democrats to create some bipartisan legislation," said Zukowski-Serlin.
Zukowski-Serlin is in the Savannah area with his wife and daughter until Friday. They're also helping people whose ballots were rejected initially fix them so they can be counted.
