Flint residents receiving robocalls with false voting info

Michigan election officials say people in Flint are receiving robocalls with false voting information. The state is now investigating.

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel says Flint residents are being told that due to long lines, they should vote tomorrow. That is NOT true, and today is the last opportunity to cast a ballot. Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson says it’s an attempt at voter suppression.

“The attorney general is acting swiftly, has already opened an investigation into those allegations," Benson said, and "is talking with the mayor about making sure that we do everything we can to get the correct information to every single voter in the city.”

Michigan allows for same-day voter registration. Precincts close at 8pm tonight.

Anyone in line at 8pm will be allowed to vote. You can also register to vote today, and cast your ballot, at your local clerk's office before 8pm.
