A federal magistrate says the case against five of the men accused of plotting to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer can proceed to a grand jury for charges.

A federal magistrate judge today [FRI] disagreed with defense attorneys that the alleged plot was just talk.

Bond hearings were also held for two of the men -- Adam Fox and Ty Garbin. They'll be held without bond.

A sixth man from Delaware is being transferred to Michigan to face potential federal charges.

Eight men face state charges.
