Michigan drivers face a deadline this week to renew their licenses and registrations.
Because of the pandemic, the state legislature and Governor Whitmer gave extensions to those whose driver’s license or vehicle registration expired after March 1st.
But that extension ends on Wednesday. State officials warn that licenses and registrations must be renewed before the deadline to avoid any potential tickets or late fees.
They suggest visiting the Michigan Secretary of State’s web site to find the steps necessary to schedule an appointment, pay online or make some other arrangement.
