Paper company worried about polutants in Morrow Lake

Georgia-Pacific says it wants to know if P-C-B's are washing out of the reservoir behind a dam near Galesburg. Sediment has been pouring out of Morrow Lake since the dam's owner lowered water levels last year.

Georgia-Pacific spokesman Rick Kimble says P-C-B cleanup downriver has already cost more than 100-million dollars:

The paper company wants to sample

P-C-B's in young smallmouth bass. But the Michigan Department of Natural Resources says their numbers are fragile this year.

Researchers say the sediment from Morrow Lake probably smothered many of their eggs.
