The National Guard has tested tens of thousands of Michigan residents for COVID-19.

But some results have taken a long time to come back.

In mid June, Guard members tested staff at the Meadow Brook nursing facility in Antrim County.

Soon after, administrator Marna Robertson says she got a call from the Guard about a "slight problem." She says they had lost track of some test specimens.

"And I’m thinking, oh my gosh, it’s more than a slight problem, because we tested 200 staff and I wanna make sure that we, number one, didn't have to do it again," saod Robertson.

Many of the National Guard tests are supposed to go through a lab in New Jersey.

The National Guard referred us to the state health department for comment. The health department says it's worked closely with the New Jersey lab to fix the delays.
