Federal investigators look into Lansing plane crash

Federal investigators are trying to find the cause of a plane crash that killed 3 people near the Capital Region International Airport.

The six passenger plane went down in Clinton county near Airport and State Roads around 9 AM on Thursday.

A pilot, co-pilot and 4 passengers were on board.

Larry Jerue is the Clinton County Sheriff. He said the plane is largely intact at the crash site and originated in Indianapolis.

The National Transportation Safety Board and FAA investigators are onsite to look for the cause of the crash.

Commercial flights at Capital Regional International Airport are not impacted by the crash investigation.
