It is starting to feel like spring in Michigan this week. Officials said after a storm-filled winter, the state can expect a calmer and more typical weather season.
In years past, Michigan always seems to have one last snow storm before officially welcome spring. This year, meteorologists say we may be in the clear.
Forecasters are predicting a gradual warm-up into summer.
Scott Rozanski is with the National Weather Service in Gaylord.
“March, April, and May we are looking at basically a really typical-like pattern for us, which would be generally warming up in the 40s-50s for the rest of the month, and then of course into April. Not looking at anything extreme one way or another. Looking like a pretty seasonable pattern.”
Rozanski said as temperatures rise, people should shift their focus to potential flooding and then wildfire weather season.
