Michigan is now under a state of emergency. Governor Gretchen Whitmer filed an order Tuesday morning.

Governor Gretchen Whitmer says it’s dangerously cold outside. So she’s called a state of emergency in order to let the state help cities and towns dealing with the cold. But Whitmer also says the order helps stress to people just how serious this cold front is. Temperatures are predicted to reach negative 50 in some parts of the state over the next couple of days.
