MDOT phoneline open for Sault Ste. Marie I-75 project

The Michigan Department of Transportation has set up a phoneline with voicemail for residents, business owners, and motorists to reach out with thoughts or issues on the I-75 Business Spur reconstruction and roundabout project.

MDOT and the city of Sault Ste. Marie have partnered up to invest $11.2 million to reconstruction 2.2 miles of roadway and add a roundabout to combine the intersections of 3 Mile Road / Mackinac Trail and I-75 BS / Mackinac Trail in Sault Ste. Marie.

The project is expected to improve traffic flow and safety in the area. Construction began at the end of May, and is expected to be complete in October of 2019.

Anyone with thoughts or issues regarding the project should call the phoneline at 906-259-0776.
