A mass shooting threat on Facebook has landed a northern Michigan man in prison.

Thirty-three year old Kevin Wayne Hansen of Petoskey pled guilty to threatening terrorism.

The Emmet County prosecutor says – in his Facebook post – Hansen threatened to kill at least 59 people … like the massacre in Las Vegas last year.

Hansen’s father says his son has struggled with substance abuse and mental health issues since he was a teen.

Hansen was sentenced to 2 to 5 years.
