It will be a few more days before a dam safety task force will finish its final report.

The task force was expected to complete its work on Wednesday. Members agree on the specific recommendations.

But task force members, like Bill Rustem has some concerns about the “tone” of the proposed final report.

“I do see some language that could be changed.  And not be quite as I’m going to use a bad phrase, but kind of fearmongering.”

Other task force members insist the report should have a “sense of urgency.”

The task force was formed after last year’s devastating floods in Midland and Gladwin counties caused in large part due to two dam failures.
