State health officials have confirmed another human case of a potentially deadly mosquito-borne illness.

The latest human case of Eastern Equine Encephalitis is out of Cass County.

In all, 10 people have fallen ill with TRIPLE E. Four have died.

According to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, the state has seen more human EEE cases confirmed in 20-19 than in the past decade.

The state has conducted anti-mosquito aerial spraying over more than a half million acres in 14 counties since last month. Though officials say the risk of EEE remains until the first hard frost.
