The state’s ban on the sale of flavored, nicotine vaping products starts Wednesday.

Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s administration announced the final rules in mid-September…and gave shops two weeks to stop selling the products.

E-cigarette sellers say they’ll go out of business if they can’t keep the products on the shelves. Ron Pease is the CEO of Mister E-Liquid. The company sells and manufactures vaping products. He says he’ll comply with the ban.

“It could mean that we move our multi-million dollar company out of the state of Michigan. It could mean that we shut the doors,” he said.

Mister E-Liquid is also a party in a lawsuit against the state opposing the ban.

Whitmer’s administration says the temporary ban is necessary due to a public health emergency created by the high number of young people vaping.
