Monday, Governor Gretchen Whitmer pledged to keep bottled water donations flowing to Flint.

Trust in what’s coming out of the tap remains a big issue in Flint.

A line of cars stretched for several blocks around Asbury United Methodist Church in Flint.  Noel George, like everyone else in line, was waiting to pick up bottled water.

“Even though they say ‘It’s OK to drink’, I just say that the trust has been broken.”

Last week, state regulators announced the latest testing shows lead levels in Flint’s tap water is on “the better half of the average of the state.”

Nestle has said it plans to continue donating 100,000 bottles of water a week to Flint through April.

Governor Whitmer promises to keep donations coming, at least until Flint finishes its lead pipe replacement program later this year.
