Mackinac Island’s Grand Hotel has been ranked the best resort in the country by USA Today.

The Grand Hotel was ranked as the top All-Inclusive resort in the country. It was also in the publication’s top ten list of best historic hotels.

Dan Musser III owns the Grand Hotel. He says it beat nineteen other finalists for the top honor through popular vote.

“As we’re in the peak of our season, it’s always good to hear. And it’s also reassuring because obviously these are a lot of guests that voted, and voted positively..which we’re appreciative of and grateful for.”

The Grand wasn’t the only Michigan hotel to be recognized by USA Today. Hotel Walloon on Walloon Lake near Petoskey ranked second in the publication’s list of best wine country hotels.
