GM says it’s investing tens of millions of dollars in a Lansing area assembly plant.

GM CEO Mary Barra delivered the news in person.

GM says its pumping $36 million into the Lansing Delta Township Assembly Plant.

The facility makes the crossover vehicles Chevrolet Traverse and Buick Enclave.

“But I’m confident this plant will build on the momentum it has created and continue to build the best cross overs in the market”

Crossover vehicles are made with the architecture of a car, but have the benefits, such as cargo space, of an SUV.
