Scientists Look At Tree Rings For Clues About Avalanches In Juneau, Alaska

Juneau, Alaska, is at high risk for avalanches. And there’s one neighborhood that dangerously sits in a future avalanche’s path.

Scientists are looking at trees to find out more about the frequency of avalanches in the region. Jennifer Pemberton of KTOO reports.
