We also heard the sounds of South African group Ladysmith Black Mambazo in celebration of the passing of its leader Joseph Shabalala, and new music from singer/songwriter Claudia Schmidt!

This week on "The Juke Joint" broadcast, Robert Barclay celebrated the music of saxophonist Robert Parker with his session work with Professor Longhair, Earl King, Huey "Piano" Smith, Ernie K-Doe, Al Johnson and TV Slim along with Parker's huge 1966 dance hit "Barefootin'." He also played selections from three Grammy winners by Delbert McClinton, Gary Clark, Jr and Keb' Mo'. 

This week on "The Juke Joint" broadcast Robert Barclay featured some Louisiana blues, Cajun and zydeco music. He included the work of Beausoleil, Terrance Simien, Slim Harpo, Lazy Lester, Katie Webster, Clifton & CJ Chenier, the Balfa Brothers, Chubby Carrier and Buckwheat Zydeco.
