This week on "Homespun", we’ll re-visit some classic recordings from the Johnson Mountain Boys, The Cox Family, Ron Stewart, and an unreleased track from JD Crowe and the New South ca. 1975! We’ll also spend time with Mike & Alice, Tommy & Fred, and we’ll look back on a couple Paul Simon originals-one by Darrell Scott and one by Simon & Garfunkel!

This week on "Homespun", we celebrated the 20th Anniversary of the Soundtrack "O Brother Where Art Thou" with music by The Soggy Bottom Boys, Alison Krauss & Gillian Welch, and Chris Thomas King. We also turned back to an acoustic side from the great harpist James Cotton & guitarist Johnny Winter, AND we revisited The Jayhawks debut from 1992!

This week on “Homespun”, we sampled the sounds of the Dobro with tracks from Mike Auldridge and Rob Ickes; heard the Gospel of The Songbirds of the South and The Angelic Gospel Singers, plus we looked back 50 years to 1970 with Paul McCartney's debut, and James Taylor's landmark LP "Sweet Baby James".

This week on “Homespun”, we celebrated the life of Bluegrass Banjo player and singer Mike Lilly with music from his time with Harley Allen and with Larry Sparks and the Lonesome Ramblers. We also heard the sounds of South African group Ladysmith Black Mambazo in celebration of the passing of its leader Joseph Shabalala, and new music from singer/songwriter Claudia Schmidt!
