The late sitarist, composer and musical ambassador Ravi Shankar, who died Tuesday at age 92.

This week on Destination Out, Mike features projects that blend East Indian music with jazz music, and songs with influence from each genre. Featured artists include John Coltrane, Ravi Shankar, and John Handy.

Mike Johnston is the host of 'Destination Out,' which airs each Sunday evening at 11pm. Mike also teaches music history courses at Delta College and Mid Michigan Community College.
