Afternoon Classical Music brings a wide range of music to listeners Monday through Thursday from 1pm to 4pm. Hosted by Judy Wagley, you'll hear classic recordings and new releases from the biggest names in the world of music, as well as interviews with Michigan musicians, composers and directors.

CMU Percussion instructor Dave Hall joined Judy to talk about life as a percussionist and about the upcoming concert presented by the CMU Percussion Ensemble.

Dr. Evan Ware joined  Judy Wagley Wednesday for Afternoon Classical in advance of Sunday's performance of The Quietest of Whispers, a New Music Symposium at Central Michigan University School of Music's Staples Family Concert Hall. The performance is inspired by Dr. Ware’s own experience with childhood sexual assault as well as the survivors at Michigan State University.

Dr. Eric Hoy Tucker, Professor of Voice and Opera at Central Michigan University joined Judy Wagley in the studio to talk about “Sweeney Todd,” the opera production presented by the School of Music. Hear Dr. Tucker explain how a show is “put together!”

CMU's choirs will be in concert Thursday evening, February 21 at 7:30.  Dr. Amon Eady, Director of Choral Activities, joined Judy Wagley on Afternoon Classical Music for a preview...
