Michigan health officials will hold community conversations across the state to get public input on the state’s plan on services for the aging.
Every three years the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services puts together a plan and seeks feedback on gaps in programs and services.
Bob Wheaton is with the Department.
“We want to hear from a variety of people whether it’s people who are older adults or their families and caregivers. We just want to hear from them as to what some of the most important things the state plan can address.”
Wheaton said the state will hold community conversations in a variety of locations to get the best understanding of local needs.
“So we do want to get input from people about the needs of the aging population that may be different in one community than the next.”
Community conversations are planned across the state including in Alpena, Midland, and Kalkaska.
